We're in the middle of looking at the book of Habakkuk, where God answers the question of how to deal with disappointment. A key book, with practical insight, Habakkuk reads like a contemporary journal, even though it was written over 2600 years ago. And God has preserved this jewel so we would know God's wisdom today. Today we talk about waiting...... What does it mean to wait upon the Lord? This phrase is so misunderstood in our Christian circles. Sometimes it's used to super-spiritualise our passivity. But scripture clearly tells us to wait upon God, so we need to know what it really means. Today will be helpful to this end.
