The nation of Israel never seemed to rise above a roller-coaster experience with God. High highs followed by low lows. They did better then worse. They tried hard then forgot God. They made commitments then negotiated the terms. Our life may not be that different. On-again, off-again spiritual life. Promises made, promises broken. But there really is an escape from what seems to be an endless cycle. So listen up.
