In the Gospel of John, Jesus is comforting his disciples but also giving them a warning. He is letting them know that there are people in this world who will not always agree with them or even like them. As a matter of fact, Jesus tells us that the world will hate us. That’s pretty harsh - and a little discouraging. But we will see that Jesus’ love will never fail and he will always be there for us.
