James 2:14-26
The book of James is known to be incredibly practical: full of tips and instructions on how to live the Christian life. It doesn’t spend much time on why to live the Christian life but assumes that the reader is already convinced. Some things just go together: peanut butter and jelly, bacon and eggs, and yin and yang. James, the half-brother of Jesus, felt that faith and works belonged in that same category—natural pairings. Do you have an equal measure of both?
