Have you ever had your hopes dashed? Have you ever faced bitter disappointment with a cloud of confusion? Sometimes our hope shows up late, according to our timeframe. Sometimes we must wait in faith until clarity arrives. Jesus appears to a couple on the road to Emmaus, and they are seemingly the only ones who don’t know that He has risen. “We had hoped….” , they say. Then Jesus “explained” to them, and all is well.
