Jesus desires a radical response to his offer of faith. Perhaps that is why he said it would be better for you to lose a body part than to not understand God's love. In this message, Jesus pleads with us to take inventory of your life, and to get rid of anything that diminishes your walk of faith. But pluck out my eyes? Really, Jesus?
