Philippians 1:1-11
The apostle Paul, in prison, writes about joy. Quite a paradox, isn't it. At the end of his
life, with chains on, he speaks of an internal grounding that brings genuine joy. He
certainly has credibility to speak on the topic. My prayer is that over the next 10 weeks,
you will want to learn more about what he has to say.
Every day brings forth opportunities to whine and complain. Strain is felt with financial
pressures, uncertain futures, relational disappointment. Opportunities to NOT have joy
are abundant. The book of Philippians is about overcoming. Replacing normal reactions
with supernatural ones.
