We are going to start a three-part sermon series called, “Encounters: Broken People Meet an Awesome God”. We are going to take a look into scriptures at several people who were at an all time ‘low’ point in their life and see what happens when they encounter the God of all creation. Today, we want to take a look at things we do not like to talk about in our modern society, brokenness and death. We are going to briefly look at two passages of two widows who have lost everything and who, in the midst of their suffering and pain, are met by a God who has a much different plan for their lives.
