Love Offering 2021
Love Offering / Where Did Your Giving Go Last Year
Through your generosity, a total of $3.9M was raised for the 2021-2022 Love Offering. We would love to share with you how your gift has built up the Kingdom of God and spread the gospel of Jesus Christ in word and in action. Last year’s theme was bringing revival in both spiritual and physical ways to a world emerging from the pandemic.

Theme Focus: Bringing Revival
Revive those hopelessly caught in drought and desperation
Redeem broken lives and reach the unreached
Renew the heart and strength of frontline staff and first responders
- Afghanistan: Those suffering from recent political upheaval received material substance, experiencing God’s love in a concrete way.
- India: Restoration of those rescued from slavery through a dedicated aftercare programme, expanding throughout India.
- Mongolia: 17 frontline workers, who serve underserved orphan youths, were blessed with a special financial bonus after a tough season.
- Philippines: 33,000 people, directly affected by the devastating super typhoon Odette, were served with emergency relief and recovery assistance.
- Romania: Ukrainian refugees arriving at the Romania border were given vital support and protected against trafficking lures.
- Thailand: Burmese refugee children and teenagers living in the garbage dump were provided with shelter, care and an opportunity to pursue an education.
- Ukraine: Ukrainian refugees and those internally displaced due to war were provided with shelter, food, and clothing, as well as assistance in crossing to neighbouring countries for safety.
- Hong Kong: More than 70 Migrant Domestic Workers (MDWs) were provided with secure shelter after being left homeless due to testing COVID positive.
- Hong Kong: 150 asylum seekers and refugees had Covid relief packages delivered to their doorstep.
Core Focus: Building up the Church
Doing what only the church can do in building up the global Church.
- US: Supporting a church plant in South Durham
- East Asia: Sending national church planters to plant churches and engage in cross-cultural missions
- Hong Kong: Supporting a couple from Island ECC who are involved in training and mobilising the next generation in global missions.
Core Focus: Remembering the Poor
The poor are at the forefront of God’s concerns, and it remains our core focus as well.
- Hope of the City, Hong Kong: Transforming the lives of the underprivileged in Hong Kong through essential community-based projects
