Men's Vietnam Trip

The Mission: This is a men's mission trip to the northern province of Vietnam. We will be working with a long-term local partner to deliver social service and workmanship to the Thai Giant Pho community area and continue to bring God's love to this remote quaint village. We are praying for men who are looking for brotherhood to serve the local community and are willing to commit to authentic community and manhood.

The Place: Bac Ha is a poor rural area in the mountainous northern province of Lao Cai, Vietnam. Most people living in this area belong to the H’Mong and Red Dao (Mien) minority group. Education is a part of the government’s plan for social and community development, but most children in the mountainous areas do not have easy access schools because of poor public infrastructure. Low standards of school infrastructure are also hindrances to education. Our teams have been helping the Thai Giang Pho commune middle school since 2012, when we helped to pave the schoolyard. We returned again in 2013 to help build a kitchen building for them, and in 2014, a cafeteria. These projects have helped to address the quality of educational services and also provide parents with more peace of mind in sending their children to school. These improvements have also led to the Vietnam government providing additional investment in the school, such as building new student dorms in 2014.
