Who it's for:
Anyone who wants to read the Old Testament with a whole lot more understanding
Description:
Stories, patriarchs, Exodus, sacrifices, violent histories, prophets, and a whole lot of language and concepts that we are seriously not used to, make reading the Old Testament with confident understanding quite a challenge. This should not be surprising from a text that was composed to an ancient culture from 2500 to nearly 4000 years ago.
This is a helpful, non-technical, user-friendly course to guide you to lots of information about Ancient Near Eastern and Israelite culture that will make your reading of the Old Testament so much more rewarding whether you are new to reading it, reluctant to read it, or just curious. A course for beginners and beyond.
Format:
Online class with Q&A.
