5/12/2026 - 5/12/2026
As we approach the Christmas season, Hope of the City is celebrating the holiday with children and teens through sports, food, and Christmas stories.
The event will be on December 5, 2026 and we are recruiting 50 volunteers to accompany the children and teens through the day to play tennis, roller skating, and rock climbing.
Volunteers will also help serve lunch, lead games, and tell the Nativity story. We are excited to share with the kids the Good News that Christmas brings as we convey Jesus’s birth story to them.
Hope of the City has partnered with Po Leung Kuk for over a decade in running this Christmas Sports Day event. Children and teens from PLK’s children homes will pair up with our volunteers as they celebrate the joy and love that Christmas brings in this season.
At the same time, we use this time of the year to celebrate the relationships that have been built throughout and pray for growing ones as we step into the coming new year. By uniting our efforts to make this happen, we pray that the children will leave this activity feeling loved and cared for, and most importantly, to come to know the significance of Christmas through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Whether you are a regular volunteer with us or simply want to bless the children through serving, we warmly invite you to join us for this celebration.
