Island ECC is partnering with FaithTech for a Hackathon! Join tech professionals, creatives, and innovators as we collaborate to build redemptive solutions for our community.
FaithTech is a global community of Christians in tech. We believe there is a way of building technology that follows the way of Jesus; a way that not only results in products that can transform the world, but also in transformed builders. Together we'll ask how technology can serve our city, our neighbors and the church, and then build it.
Ministry through Tech: Equip and encourage tech professionals, designers, and innovators to view their daily skills and expertise as a primary avenue for ministry.
Redemptive Solutions: Collaborate in teams to solve real-world operational, engagement, and outreach challenges facing Island ECC and the wider Hong Kong community.
Kingdom Community: Build a lasting community of Kingdom-minded creators who innovate with purpose and leverage technology for God's work in our city.
What is a hackathon?
It's a short, focused sprint where teams get together to build something real. Ideas become working prototypes over a day or two, and the event ends with each team pitching what they made. The Hackathon will be guided by FaithTech's playbook, which has been built alongside its community and subject matter experts and focuses on building through a Gospel-centered lens.
Who should come?
Anyone who wants to put their gifts to work for Jesus. That includes developers, designers, product and business people, students, and anyone who simply has an idea worth building. You don't need to be a coder!
