Being a Disciple: Counting the Real Cost (Women Only)

Who It's For:

This Monday lunchtime study is an invitation for women to gather on Zoom for a purpose: to study the Bible and pray together. We will commit one hour to exploring Scripture and then dedicate 15-30 minutes to praying with and for one another.

Requirements:

Registrants are required to attend the study regularly, Space is limited to ensure a good learning environment, A book will be given there upon registration

Details of Study: 

It is an inductive bible study, which means letting the scripture speak for itself, rather than relying on given commentaries. Inductive study is done by Observation, Interpretation, and Application. Observation is reading the scriptures slowly, noting and marking keywords. Interpretation is thinking of what the scripture means. The book poses questions to help us think about what the scripture means. Application is thinking about how it applies in our lives. Description of the Study:

In a world full of distractions, what does it actually look like to be a follower of Jesus? This study digs into the heart of discipleship to understand what Jesus meant when He said, "Follow Me."  We'll tackle the hard questions together: Is His standard realistic for us today? What does it cost to truly prioritize Christ over comfort, reputation, or family expectations? We'll explore the distinct characteristics of a disciple, including self-denial and the call to bear good fruit.  Anchoring ourselves in the wisdom of scriptures and the inspiring life of the Apostle Paul, this study will help us move from simply believing in Jesus to building our entire lives upon Him.
