Our young adult ministries, Shift 20s (Vessel) and Shift 30s (Exchange) are co-hosting ShiftServe for the third consecutive year! On the night, we will first gather at 633 for worship and preparation, then we will be sent off to serve and bring the gospel to different parts of the city. Check out the 3 NGOs we'll be partnering with this year and sign up today!
Initiative 1:
Prayer Walk & Outreach with Sons & Daughters
Date: December 12 (Fri)
Time: 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM
We'll gather at 633 and prepare special gift packs, then set off to red light districts in Wan Chai and Jordan for distribution, prayer, and outreach.
Service Partner: Sons & Daughters
Seeing transformation in Hong Kong’s red light districts, helping sexual workers abandon sex trade and walk freely as sons and daughters of God, through street outreach, aftercare programs and handcraft stores.
Initiative 2:
Outreach with YWAM
Date: December 12 (Fri)
Time: 8:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Gather at 633 and get ourselves equipped, then go and bless the neighbourhood of Chai Wan with gifts and the gospel.
Service Partner: YWAM Gateway (Youth With A Mission)
Committed to knowing God and making Him known in every area of society, with the mission to gather, equip and mobilise believers across nations and generations through outreach, training in missions, children, youth and families, character and leadership development.
Initiative 3:
Storytelling & Elderly Lunch with Hope of the City
Dates & Times:
December 12 (Fri), 8:00 PM - 10:00 PM
December 13 (Sat), 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Be part of the annual joint Shek Kip Mei and Ngau Tau Kok Elderly Home Visit Christmas Lunch, and bless the elderlies and the regular volunteers through Christmas carols, nativity skits and interactions! We will first gather at 633 on Friday night to prepare and rehearse, then re-gather on Saturday for the Christmas lunch. Cantonese is highly preferred.
Service Partner: Hope of the City
Transforming the lives of the underprivileged in Hong Kong by building bridges to foster relationships between the disadvantaged and those with resources, through regular visits, educational support, and outreach initiatives.
Important Note: Please come in modest outfits and comfortable shoes. Kindly avoid short skirts/shorts, low-cut tops, expensive jewelry/handbags, or high heels.
