This October’s gathering will focus on hands-on, practical strategies to address family mental health challenges. Through workshops, case studies, and peer discussions, we aim to provide you with actionable tools to walk alongside individuals and families in need.
What You Will Get:
- Networking with others engaged in frontline mental health ministry.
- A deep dive conversation regarding all things postpartum with Brittney Tsang from the Oasis Counselling team.
- Resources tailored for church and community settings
- Four practice-based workshops:
- Connecting with Young Children - How parents can better utilize what the Bible teaches and how we can keep a good connection with our children. Led by Kristen Wong and Boroka Kopacz from Connected Families.
- Doing Life with Adult Children – Key principles from attachment theory that have proven to be helpful. Led by Kimberly Ho from St John’s Counselling.
- Connecting with Youth - How to connect with youth in a screen-based society, including how to encourage them to get help when there are signs of mental health problems. Led by Tina Chung from Oasis Counselling.
- Dealing with Marriage Problems – Using different marriage scenarios, you will be equipped with helpful tools and knowledge encompassing attachment theory. Led by Sylvie Choi and Esther Chung from Hubb and Spokes Counseling.
