Hope of the City is launching a new cycle of the Mommies Learn English class for the women referred to us by a local church in North Point. These women are eager to gain empowerment before re-entering the workforce.
We are seeking bilingual speaking volunteers to support these women in their learning journey, providing in-class revision and oral practice to boost their confidence. The classes will be led by a teacher, and teaching assistants will be assigned to small groups of women to offer encouragement and support over the coming months.
Our aim is to establish a nurturing environment for these women to thrive, grow, and form connections with each other. Therefore, volunteers are expected to commit twice a week for at least one academic year to facilitate relationship building.
