Hope of the City in partnership with YWCA is launching their fourth 'altr' youth mentorship programme in January.
We are recruiting Cantonese speaking mentors who have a heart to journey alongside with the disengaged youth, and offer career coaching especially on Music, Production and Coffee making while supporting them in character development as they navigate different career options and acquire skill sets.
The youths may encounter setbacks or self-doubts along the way, and our hope is to have mentors who can befriend the youth and alter their trajectory to a path of hope.
Mentors will be meeting their mentees weekly either on Friday evenings or Saturday afternoons to inspire, encourage and journey with the youth over the course of the programme from January to March, and conclude by support their mentee as he/she prepare for the Showcase Day late March where they will share their personal work to their family and friends.
For those interested in learning more, we will have an Info Session from 1pm - 1:30pm, followed by the Training Session for confirmed mentors from 1:30pm - 3pm on January 14 (Sunday) at 10/F Classroom.
