Island ECC has partnered with a Taipei church and an aboriginal church to visit a village called Jinlun in Taitung. It is an aboriginal village where about 80 families from two major aboriginal tribes in Taiwan—Paiwan and Amis dwell in. Many parents from these families have to travel to larger cities like Taipei or Kaohsiung for work, leaving their children behind with their grandparents. Our mission in Jinlun is to lead a summer camp during the day and outreach to youth while doing home visits in the evening to minister to emotional and spiritual needs in the families.
Trip Highlights - Participants will be serving aboriginal tribes in a village in Taitung, Taiwan, through a summer camp during the day and outreach to the youth while doing home visits in the evening to minister to emotional and spiritual needs in the families. Participants will be building up youth leaders through Bible classes, leadership training and discipleship.
Special Requests - Energetic participants with teaching experience; Mandarin speakers will be a plus. Male participants encouraged to apply to bless the youth with a male role model, which is often missing in their lives.
