Q: How are the children split into their groups?
A: They are assigned to small groups (8-10 kids) by grade for preschool (K1-K3) and by grade and gender for elementary (Grade 1-5).
Q: What do they do during the Kids Club service?
A: Each week consists of small group and large group time where children gather to worship, hear about God through bible stories and learn how it all applies to everyday life through fun activities, games and crafts. Each month revolves around a different theme.
Q: What are the bathroom procedures?
A: For our nursery kids, we have paid staff to assist with changing of diapers. For our preschoolers, there is always a minimum of 3 at a time with adult supervision. Elementary children are allowed to go on their own in pairs.
Q: When can my child move up to the next grade?
A: At the beginning of each new school year in September. There is a graduation ceremony at the end of preschool (K3) and elementary (Grade 5).
Q: Can a sibling or friend from a different grade be in the same class?
A: The older child can join the younger’s class in a temporary arrangement. We encourage our children to be with their peers to best experience the age appropriate curriculum.
Q: Can I stay with my child since it’s their first time?
A: Yes, new parents can join the class maximum twice. If you would like to regularly stay in the class, you may sign up as a regular Kids Club volunteer.
Q: Can my child who has special needs join Kids Club?
A: Yes, as long as they are accompanied by an adult assistant. We appreciate advance contact to best prepare our teachers. Please be reminded to keep you mobile on you in case staff needs to reach you.
Q: Can I wait on the 9/F?
A: For safety reasons, we clear the floor 15 minutes after service has begun. We encourage our parents to go to the adult’s service.
Q: Can my child go to different services from week to week?
A: We believe a consistent environment is best for your child to attend the same service each week where they can build relationships with peers and their small group leader.
Q: Can my child come if they are sick?
A: Kids who have shown signs of fever, vomiting or other contagious illnesses should be symptom and fever-free for 24 hours before coming to Kids Club.
