Liwei grew up in Mainland China and came to knew productivity and efficiency as the main indicators of personal worth. God, to Liwei, was a mythical figure in the clouds that held no meaningful relevance to practical living. He led a relatively self-indulgent life after moving to Hong Kong and eventually was looking for more of a challenge. This ultimately brought him to a point where he was heavily burdened and led him to turn to drink as a solution until one of his friends introduced him to prayer. After a prayer, he felt an amazing lightness and saw its power as rather magical. Liwei began to investigate more about Christianity through many sources, including the web and Alpha. Knowing God now, he has chosen to commit his life to Christ.
