Let's Worship
Peter, suddenly bold, said, “Master, if it’s really you, call me to come to you on the water.” He (Jesus) said, “Come ahead.” Jumping out of the boat, Peter walked on the water to Jesus… The disciples in the boat, having watched the whole thing, worshiped Jesus… Matthew 14:28-29, 33
I was prepared to write a prayer devotional reflecting on the amazing things that God was doing in and around our church, rejoicing, giving thanks while challenging all of us to be bold in our faith. God has been doing amazing things amongst us and I am confident that He has much more in store for us as he leads us into new ventures and new paths as we pursue Him in Bold Faith. But, as I prepared a long list of the great things that God is doing within our church, I began to reflect on the power and might, glory and majesty of our God. “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hand.” Psalm 19:1. "When I consider your heavens, the work of you fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place…” Psalm 8:3. All of God’s greatness, the work of His hand, His creation…the heavens, the sun, the moon, the stars and the mountains…all of these marvels call us to worship God, to worship Jesus.
The amazing things that God is doing in our midst as a church…children’s ministry, youth ministry, men’s ministry, women’s ministry, Hope of the City, prison ministry, Alpha, Indonesian ministry, Filipino ministry, Outreach ministry…call us to worship God, to worship Jesus!
As we experience God in new ways through stepping out individually and as a church body in Bold Faith, let’s worship Jesus!
Let us worship God by:
- Rejoicing and giving thanks for the amazing things God is doing amongst us…and worship Jesus!
- Praying for our church body as we step out in Bold Faith, that we keep Godly perspective and that we truly worship Jesus.
