Alan and Chrisie married after two years of dating and were advised by many to 'prepare their marriage'. Unsure of what that meant and looking for resources, Chrisie came across a course at Island ECC that addressed this topic and she signed them up (to Alan's apprehension). The course gave them a foundation to understand themselves and each other better, and brought them closer as a couple. These lessons helped them walk through a difficult chapter in their marriage where they were unable to conceive a child. After a long period of trying and discouraging news however, God gave Chrisie and Alan a sign that He has heard their prayers and not long after, they received the wonderful news that they were pregnant. From the experience, they learnt how God makes all things possible and the heart of love He has for all His children.
