When was the last time you thought about Heaven? How did you picture it? Was it full of billowing clouds? Were there pearly gates? Were you there? Were you sitting on a cloud playing a harp wearing a toga? That’s how heaven is depicted in movies and television shows. It gives us the wrong impression of what God has in store for us. Heaven is the goal we are all striving to get to as Christians and it should be on our mind every day as we prepare to be with our Lord for eternity. It gives us hope. Do we look forward to heaven? Do we think about it enough? Today we are going to talk about heaven, the future, and what that means for us today.
