Philippians 4:10-12
Today, we wrap up our series on Philippians and we look at the apostle Paul's concluding words on contentment. This is a word that grabs our attention. Either positively or negatively – it conjures up a reaction of some sort. Some may view contentment as an excuse for being lazy, slothful, unambitious. Some may see contentment as the enemy of competition. On the other hand, some see contentment as an illusive, but desirous goal. In a sea of striving and fighting to get ahead, contentment is the answer to an unresting soul. But the real question is not how we see contentment, but what God has to say about it. Today should help us all to that end.
