Thailand is a kingdom shaped by its Buddhism, monarchy and military and recognised by its political instability since 2001. It has been governed by a military junta since May 2014. The nation is relatively stable although it is plagued by an insurgency in the south, systemic corruption and a multitude of vices. Thailand is also home to a large number of unreached people groups, which is where Island ECC focuses its support. We work with a long-term partner that enables various ministries to more effectively reach out to these groups.
