The prophet Jeremiah had a life filled with trouble. In Jeremiah 12, we see him questioning God’s sense of justice as the prophet observed evil prospering throughout the city, and God’s response was, “If racing against mere men makes you tired, how will you race against horses?”—Wait. What? “Race against horses”? Yet, Jeremiah’s life was one marked with the nearness of God and highlighted by awe-inspiring miracles. This course draws from Eugene H. Peterson’s book, Run with the Horses, to explore how we are most alive and human only when we set our goals beyond what is humanly possible.
