Having a Real Relationship with God (Women Only)

Who's it for: 
This class is for women wanting to take 90 minutes of Monday lunch time, to study the Bible and pray together.  It is a wonderful way to start a week.  This is a small group maximum enrollment of 12.  This size limits space but allows higher interaction.  We also make time for in depth study of the scriptures, resulting in often covering small number of verses in the 1 hour study time.  We ask our class to be a trusted space, where we can share our prayer requests with each other and take it all to God, but we do not share personal information outside of class.  We ask for commitment of at least 6 weeks of attendance so one can get a good idea of how to study the Bible inductively. 

Description of the Study:
We are studying the Book "Having a Real Relationship with God".  This Book is published by Precept Ministries and is from a No Homework series.  This is an inductive study that will help you discover for yourself how such a relationship is possible.  By inductive, we mean you are going to go straight to the source - the Bible - to see what God has to say about the relationship He wants to have with you and about the community He wants to bring you into.  The book poses questions about the relevant scriptures.  When we answer the questions, we arrive at the key learning. If you want to get a better feel for the book, check on Amazon.com or Precept.org for excerpts from the book.  

Format: 
We meet by Zoom each Monday 12:30-2:00 PM.  We start with 15 minutes of greeting, followed by about 1 hour of study, and end with 15 minutes of praying together.  During the study, the facilitator will go around and encourage everyone to participate by answering questions in turn.  The questions are found in the book and the answers are found in the scriptures.
