Hope of the City is partnering with Mongkok Baptist Church to offer ‘Children Learn English’ classes for primary school children every Saturday afternoon. We are seeking bilingual teaching assistants who have experience working with children with special educational needs to support the lead teachers during the English classes.
Volunteers are expected to commit to the full schedule in order to build positive and consistent relationships with the students. The lessons will focus on developing grammar, comprehension, and reading skills.
While mothers attend the women’s fellowship, their children will take part in the English classes followed by an hour of Bible activities led by a Bible school teacher. Both sessions aim to create an engaging and interactive learning environment, incorporating arts and crafts, singing, and games.
