AI Seminar Series:
After decades of slow progress, AI has now captivated the entire world. Some believe that AI has exceeded human intelligence while others hold that it is just another piece of software, albeit a powerful one. Optimists view AI as the vehicle to bring humanity to utopia whereas pessimists see a road to dystopia. Yet skeptics and atheists seize the opportunity to promote an alleged conflict between science and religion and hypothesize that AI will bring salvation to humankind, thus ironically creating a new religion. Christians will face new challenges in the 21st century, but there is always hope in Jesus Christ.
AI Talk #1: How Shall We Live with Artificial Intelligence?
This is the first seminar of a two-part series on the interface between AI and Christianity. This first seminar will be focused on the practical AI issues that everyone is facing. It explains the fundamentals of AI from a technology perspective in layperson terms. It discusses how AI is bringing revolutions to economics, politics, and our daily lives. Does AI have human intelligence? Does AI have consciousness? Does AI think like humans do? Is AI good or harmful to society? Does AI replace our jobs? Will AI bring more wars?
Who AI Seminar #1 Is For: For anyone (Christian or non-Christian) who is interested in understanding how AI works and how we should live with AI.
