Who it's for:
[INTERMEDIATE] For anyone who has wrestled with the question of Work in its broadest definition – all human activity, paid or unpaid, outside of sleep and leisure. Why is work so hard a lot of the time? Is work a curse? Am I in the right job? Am I missing my calling? Why does my faith and my work feel so disconnected? How do I integrate these important parts of my life?
Description:
This will be an introductory foray into the whole area of "Theology of Work". During these four sessions we will first explore each topic through some teaching followed by lots of time for discussion and engagement over questions. Accompanying our journey will be Work Songs written and performed by a collective called Porter’s Gate. The topics are:
- What does the Bible say about Work?
- What is Calling?
- Integrating Faith & Work: The Practice
- Rest in Work vs Rest from Work

[INTERMEDIATE]: Reasonably familiar with reading the Bible and keen to learn more
[ADVANCED]: Happy to deep-dive into the background and meaning of biblical texts
