Who it's for:
[INTERMEDIATE]* Anyone seeking to understand the Biblical truths in Genesis 1–3 and how we are to view them in the 21st century

Description:
With the possible exception of the Book of Revelation, no chapters of the Bible cause Christians more problems than Genesis Chapters 1– 3. With accounts of creation, human origins, and human failing,  these chapters contain essential, central Biblical truths; yet these chapters also contain narratives that contrast vigorously with our 21st-century world views, with the result that many Christians retreat into a range of ill-informed and unhelpful responses.  During this 3-week course we will examine the way in which the biblical themes of God’s creation, partnership with humans, and the catastrophe of the “fall” can be understood in the environment in which they were written. This will provide a sound platform from which the text can be understood and applied without losing the integrity of biblical truths within the context of a 21st-century world view.

Format:
Online lecture
