Who it's for:
This outreach event is for any volunteers who have a heart for local and/or ethnic minority children and youth.
Description:
Inner City Ministries runs two weeks of Vacation Bible School (VBS) for two different age groups in the summer. During VBS the children will take part in singing songs, playing exciting games, listening to Bible stories, and creative crafts and snacks. Island ECC volunteers will have a chance to serve as “Crew Leaders”, the job is to get to know the children in their small groups and have lots of fun with them which involves a lot of dancing, singing and jumping! Lunch will be provided on the first day of both weeks during orientation.
What to do:
- Guide the kids throughout different sessions (Bible Stories, Art & Crafts, Snacks)
- Prepare lesson and verses for each day (will be provided)
- Assist the Person in-charge in each session
