Over the past few decades, tremendous advances have been made in science and technology. New and updated scientific data are now available to help us think about our universe, Earth, and life. Do these scientific data conflict with what we have learned from the Bible? Or do they support the biblical truth?
In this seminar, we will discuss some of the recent discoveries in a variety of sciences, such as astronomy, biochemistry, genetics, geology, paleontology, and physics. We will look at these scientific data and marvel at what is going on. Did the entire universe come into existence by sheer chance? Or was the universe created out of nothing for the ultimate benefit of humanity?
The discussion will be in layperson terms. No prior knowledge of science is required. We hope it will help you see the amazing works of the Creator and Saviour.
Speaker Bio:
Zachary Leung (PhD, MIT) is passionate about the reasons for the Christian faith. He is currently a scholar at Reasons to Believe, drawing the science-minded to the Gospel. He is also a student in theology at Biola University, specializing in the harmony of science and faith. Zachary was a university professor, research scientist, and entrepreneur in artificial intelligence. He received his PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
