Jesus: The Biography

25/03/2018 11:30 am - 25/03/2018 1:00 pm

Jesus lived in a specific time and place in history; the Jewish world of first century Israel.  Many assumptions have been made over the centuries about who Jesus is in history; some have doubted that we can recover such historical information; others have tried but have based their “historical” picture of Jesus on assumptions of their own age – leading to some disastrous and dangerous misconceptions. Fortunately many recent discoveries in the Middle East are very helpful in gaining a very full picture of Jesus’ world. However, much of what we now know about this time may seem strange and unfamiliar to us. To understand Jesus and his message fully, it is vital that we to get to know this time and place which was as complicated politically, religiously, culturally and socially as our own age.

Join Martin Radford for this eight week course to give a much needed insight into the life of our Messiah Jesus within the context of first century Palestine.
