The scriptural purpose of Island ECC’s involvement in global outreach
- To fulfill the Great Commission of Christ Globally (Matt. 28:18-20).
- To share Christ’s heart for the global world, with a special focus throughout Asia (Matt. 9:36-38; Gal.6:9-10).
- To build up and to mobilize the body of Christ in Island ECC to know the heart of God and to make his heart knowing to global world (Eph. 4:12-16)
- To minister to the totality of human need (Matt. 22:37-39; Gal. 6:9-10)
The definition of global outreach
Island ECC defines global outreach as that which fulfills the Great Commission by proclaiming and defending the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ globally or cross-culturally through evangelism, short term outreach, supporting fulltime missionaries and mission organizations and mobilizing the body of Christ to introduce the Gospel in their spheres of life.
