Biography - Bert Wong

Bert grew up in Toronto where he accepted Christ as his Lord and Saviour while at university. He has lived in England, the U.S. and Singapore, and moved to Hong Kong 14 years ago. He and Tina, his wife of 15 years, have three children, Michelle, Stephanie and Wesley. Bert has attended ECC for about 10 years, during which time he has served as Children's Sunday school teacher, leader of adult new believers and 2:7 classes, ministry coordinator of 2:7 discipleship class. He currently coleads a care group and has served as a church elder since Spring 2006. His wife, Tina, previously led the church’s Children's Ministry. Bert has been involved in a few ministry organisations, including English Language Institute China (ELIC), where he formerly served as a Vice Chairman of the HK Advisory Team. Bert is a principal in a privately held biomedical firm and enjoys a good game of badminton and following NBA basketball (go Spurs!).
